Port Phillip Strategic Management Plan - Albert Park on Fitzroy Street - Is this happening?

"Ensure than open space assets such as Albert Park Reserve, which are not managed by Council, but which are highly significant to the local community, are protected, enhanced and well maintained."

A Park for Fitzroy Street

The currently rather vacant and unattractive part of Albert Park on Fitzroy Street could be turned into a Park with shade trees, park benches under them and free WiFi. There are many examples of this kind of Park in other countries around the world and the entrance to St Kilda would be enhanced by a Park of international standards.

The Park looked like this before the elms were cut down
